Courthouse weddings in Denton County

Get your license

Denton County issues licenses at six County Clerk locations, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Both of you need to be there to receive it.

  • Fee: $81, or $21 with a Twogether in Texas certificate.
  • The license becomes valid 72 hours after it's issued. The course certificate waives the wait.
  • It stays valid for 90 days and works anywhere in Texas.
  • Bring a driver's license, state ID or other government ID, or a certified birth certificate.
